Whenever these two teams battle against each other, some big names are seen together; such names that without them, cricket feels incomplete. Unfortunately, four of them will be absent during this series; Misbah, Younis, Jayawardene and Sangakkara. Each duo of the experienced run-machines will be missed badly by their respective teams. But it will be even more intriguing to see the youth in both the teams; Pakistani youngsters have displayed their talents in the limited-over cricket, but it will be interesting to see whether they can retain their presence for a much longer time on the field.

Pakistan’s official skipper is now Sarfraz Ahmed and he said that the duo of Misbah and Younis have undoubtedly contributed a lot to Pakistan’s test cricket and now it’s time for the team to move on with the youngsters. Sarfraz is entering the team into an entirely new era of test cricket, with a mixture of youth and experience, mostly the youngsters. Babar Azam, Asad Shafiz, Yasir Shah, Hasan Ali and whatnot, Pakistan will indeed enter the side being a big stronger on paper.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka will be missing out on Angelo Matthews as well, other than the two great batsmen. After a 0-3 loss to India, Sri Lanka will be wanting to salvage pride this time. Nuwan Pradeep and Lakmal will return to the side, meaning that Sri Lanka will be boosted by their return (they suffered injuries previous month). Dinesh Chandimal will captain the side during the absence of Matthews, who has suffered a calf strain. It looks to be a promising game of cricket between the two sides.
