Pakistan vs England 2nd T20 Scorecard 27 Nov 2015

Read scorecard of Pak vs Eng 1st T20 27 November 2015. A nail-biting game was seen in the second T20 between Pakistan and England as England defeated Pakistan by only 3 runs and clinched the series by taking an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three match T20 series.

From the beginning of Pakistan’s innings, it looked they were off to a great start as they began brilliantly. However, a sudden collapse of batting was seen, as it always is seen, after the wicket of Ahmed Shehzad. Pakistan were 51-0 at a time, then they were 120-6 at another. But after Afridi joined in, he flew the ball here and there in the ground, smashing three sixes and one four and gave hopes to the fans after they had lost it.

But he was unable to survive at the crease for long, after drawing 24 runs off 7 balls, he became a victim at the final ball of 17th over. Anwar, Wahab and Tanvir were yet to come, thus a flame of hope was still enlightened. Tanvir hit a four and together with Anwar, made singles and doubles. The tail enders helped their side slide to five runs needed of the last two balls. At the penultimate ball, they could only draw a single. Anwar missed the last ball, when they needed a four and Pakistan lost by three runs.

Although Pakistan put on a brilliant fight and it was a great show to watch, England well deserved the win. They had played excellently in their batting and gave a high target of 172 runs. They did not have Eoin Morgan but still managed to crawl towards a good target. Their bowlers did an amazing job. The field was set according to the ball and was strategically set at every ball. Plunkett, who took three wickets, was named the man of the match.
