Watch New Zealand vs South Africa highlights today on 10-3-2017. NZ vs SA highlights of the day 4 of first Test played at Dunedin. S Africa vs N Zealand highlights. Yesterday Kane Williamson’s name was heard all around. His timely ton against South Africa saved the day for Kiwis who, after Ross Taylor’s injury and failure from top and middle order was in precarious situation. It was the fourth Test hundred from a New Zealand captain against South Africa. It was his 16th Test hundred which was the second highest for his country. Ross Taylor has also got 16 centuries while Martin Crowe leads this list with 17 hundreds. Williamson’s valiant effort made it possible for his team to get a small but psychologically important lead. He scored his 130 runs off 241 balls and his innings included 18 fours.
South Africa began their innings with a small deficit of 33 runs and Stephen Cook returned to the pavilion without scoring any run. During last session, an alarm sounded and all players left ground. After all-clear signal, they returned but this time insufficient light made it impossible for New Zealand to use their quicks. As a result, spinners were employed for a short period of time but soon bad light forced the umpires to call off the day.
At this stage, match is evenly poised between the two teams and there are only two days left. So one of the teams will have to either do something exceptionally good or stupidly bad to get result. Otherwise there is every indication that first Test may end in a draw.
Ross Taylor’s calf injury may result in pressure on New Zealand batsmen. His presence with full recovery means a lot for both the teams. Yesterday Trent Boult struck in his first over which gives hope that bowlers may dominate today. If it happens, we may expect a result from this Test.
