Latest cricket highlights, India v W Indies highlights, IND v WI highlights today, West Indies vs India 4th Test highlights, day 1 cricket highlights 18-8-2016. India take on West Indies in the fourth test of the series after having an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series. The series would have been 3-0, if Roston Chase had not stood at the crease stubbornly and rain would have not interrupted. West Indies should be grateful to rain that the test was drawn after almost an entire day was wasted due to it. This time, weather interruptions are once again likely.

Toss: West Indies won the toss and elected to bat.

The fourth test is going to be played at Port of Spain on 18th of August. Both the sides look healthy although West Indies look less healthier than the massive Indian side, which consists of incredible batting order and a well-rounded bowling attack. With the swing of Kumar and spin of Ashwin, India can make this series 3-0 and maintain their first position on the test rankings. India has produced youngsters that have shone in the series. The opener Rahul has displayed brilliance and Shami has also aided in the bowling attack. The skipper Virat Kohli was unlucky in the previous test but he would be willing to show a performance he is known for now a days.

Due to lack of senior players, it seems like the West Indies are struggling. The captain Jason Holder stated that he has been trying his best but has failed to take wickets. He said that he has been working really hard but he just hasn’t got wickets to show. The pitch is spinner friendly, which means there will be turn and bounce for the bowlers. Ashwin needs only eight wickets to reach the milestone of fastest 200 test wickets. West Indies are likely to add Devendra Bishoo to their side for the fourth test, as the pitch seems to be spinner friendly. They replaced Chandrika with Johnson in the opening and although he has not displayed a performance needed, he has shown promise.

The final test match of the series will show that whether India make it 3-0 or West Indies make it 2-1. In other scenario, the series would remain 2-0 (in case of draw).
