India vs South Africa 3rd Test Day 1 Scorecard 25 Nov 2015

Scorecard of Ind vs SA 3rd Test Day 1 which was played on 25th of November 2015 is given below.

Report: The pitch was a deadly one and it destroyed Indian batting, though they managed to cross the 200-run hurdle, but still it showed a really tough time to the hosts. The pitch at the very first day seemed as if it had been played on for days – it was rough and the cracks that were clearly visible aided the spinners, actually it aided the bowlers all together. Morkel certainly had discovered the right point to pitch the ball as he removed three Indian batsmen and bowled lethally.

South Africa, after India were demolished at 215 and with nine overs left, began their batting but lost two quick wickets; becoming victims to spinners Ashwin and Jadeja who bamboozled van Zyl and nightwatchman Imran Tahir. The pitch was a very difficult one to be played and had it a bit more spin, it could have been unplayable. The Proteas lost two wickets and were stranded on 11-2 at the stumps of day 1, acquiring 204 more to give a lead to the hosts.

Second test game had been drawn due to unfortunate circumstances of weather. Also it gave an opportunity to the hosts to trounce the visitors in the test series, after being trounced in T20 and ODI series as they have already won 1 game and have a 1-0 lead.

India had progressed to 50 for none when they commenced before South African bowlers figured out the secret to the pitch. They got a hold of India’s batting and pushed them into trenches, thrusting them to lose six wickets for 75 runs. Overall threat for South African batsmen is the pitch. Thus they have to play very cautiously if they want to survive.
