India vs New Zealand 1st ODI Highlights Today 22 Oct 2017

Watch India vs New Zealand 1st one day highlights on 22 October. Ind vs NZ highlights today 22 Oct 2017. The two heavyweights – India and New Zealand – take on each other in what looks like a promising three day and night one-day series. The series will be battled in India’s den, where they have just baffled the Aussies. Remembering the not long ago occurring champions trophy, India were the last to have been sent back home in the tournament and now, they are battling the side which was the first. The first day and night one day is to be played at Mumbai.

A glance at the two sides displays feebleness in the middle order. India have been brilliant no doubt; having paved their way to the champions trophy’s final, then defeating Sri Lanka and then the Aussies. They enter as favorites in the bilateral series against the Kiwis as well. But they have had issues in the middle order; they have shuffled about 11 players at No.4 since the WC 2015. They might play either Dinesh Karthik or Hardik Pandya as their middle order batsman.

India have been playing two spinners since a long time now – Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. Virat Kohli was quoted saying about this situation that he did have in mind to let two spinners play but now that they both are so good as a duo, it is tempting for the think-tank to let them play every game. Rohit Sharma gave a statement a day ago about Trent Boult being a threat for the Indian batting line-up. He further said it was worrying for him that India do not a left armed speedster. The Indian batting order has been troubled previously by Mustafizur and Amir – both left-armed pacers – and now Boult himself.

As far as the Kiwis are concerned, the side is a mixture of youth and experience. The batting order will be led by the skipper Williamson himself. Guptill, Taylor being the big names in the department. Tom Latham has been given the responsibility to wear the gloves behind the wicket, as well as holding the middle order together. The bowling department will be spearheaded by Southee and Boult themselves while they being aided by Sodhi and Santner.
