India vs Australia 4th Test Day 4 Highlights Today 28 March 2017

Watch India vs Australia cricket highlights of the fourth day of final Test played on 28-3-2017. IND vs AUS highlights today. India is on the verge of an epic victory after destroying Australian batting yesterday. Their bowlers dismissed the visitors for just 137 in the second innings which means India had to chase a small target of 106 runs to win this final Test. At stumps they scored 19 runs and needed 87 more runs to win with all the wickets intact. Australia have most likely lost their opportunity to seal this epic series with another victory.

Yesterday Australia started their innings with the deficit of 32 runs and lost David Warner, Steven Smith and Matt Renshaw while they still were in the deficit. Except for Glenn Maxwell, no other batsman showed resistance. Maxwell remained the top scored with 45. Six of their batsmen returned to pavilion without getting into double figures. Their last three players failed to score even a single run.

Umesh and Bhuvneshwar were furious in their spells. Their short balls were particularly devastating. Despite some dropped catches, they successfully maintained pressure and kept taking wickets. Smith’s misjudged pull shot gave glimpse of over-confidence which was unnecessary at such crucial stage of the match. Ashwin and Jadeja were then left to separate Maxwell and Peter Handscomb before mopping up the rest.

At one stage, Handscomb and Maxwell seemed to have stopped Indian onslaught. Maxwell played aggressively while Handscomb was content with protecting the other end. However this small partnership was the only resistance which was shown from Australian camp and it didn’t last long.

On this pitch, getting scores is quite challenging for the batting side. If Australia had got a 200 plus lead, they could hope for a victory. But defending 106 runs needs some miracle to happen which is a very rare case in the history of this game.
